What the law has done in identifying the malady, Christ has undone in making a provision for the malady.
The law told us of sin and identified each as sinners, but it was apparently not able to make a change in man. The law condemned man, but Christ made provision for the malefactor. Not that he gave any, a more ethical way to live. The law had already attempted that and failed. As such the law only condemned the malefactor and placed him under the law of sin and death. Christ on the other hand is giving a life to the malefactor, that we all could not have on our own, by changing our hearts, desires and inordinate hungers through salvation followed by sanctification. “Therefore, now there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ.” What a Redeemer! Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
