What the law has done in identifying the malady, Christ has undone in making a provision for the malady.
The law told us of sin and identified each as sinners, but it was apparently not able to make a change in man. The law condemned man, but Christ made provision for the malefactor. Not that he gave any, a more ethical way to live. The law had already attempted that and failed. As such the law only condemned the malefactor and placed him under the law of sin and death. Christ on the other hand is giving a life to the malefactor, that we all could not have on our own, by changing our hearts, desires and inordinate hungers through salvation followed by sanctification. “Therefore, now there is no condemnation to them which are in Christ.” What a Redeemer!
