After Jesus sent out the 70 disciples, Luke uses the word myrias to describe the crowds that flocked to hear Jesus in the last six months of His ministry. The word means “tens of thousands,” and suggests the throngs that gathered were larger than even in Galilee, where Jesus spent most of His ministry.
