Meditations
Considering myself to be opinionated and often thanking those who have said so for their opinions; I am amazed at the extraordinary statements which are made by some men; and held to proof by extraordinary statements made by other men who each have, what appears, by what has been said; less than extraordinary minds.
“The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.”(Archibald MacLeish)
The above statement is a quote from a three-time Pulitzer Prize winner and a truly extraordinary man. Just what makes him extraordinary. Everyone, or rather if, anyone is reading this look him up and spend a little time absorbing literary genius.
What makes this quote so extraordinary to me is the truth which is obvious in the words but even more the way such thinking is denied by those who wish to foist their minds, thought, culture, religion, authority, etc. upon others, who have, themselves, not thought out the circumstances of others or the consequences of such actions. Many have great advice and actually believe that theirs is the solution to every issue and problem in the lives of others when in fact these cannot and are not even running their own lives in a successful way. These have a way of demanding with subjective proofs which are not actually evidenced in anything other than a bias which is self-empowering. Here in lies certain problems with such “authorities”. There are authoritarians at most times, and more often than not, all times, have all the answers and the way things should be but are not actually assuming the responsibility for what is being yoked to the shoulders of those they wish to lead, or better yet, rule over. Then when the serious problems arise these who wish to be in charge do not fix the problems which they have, in arrogating to themselves such power, left those who they have yoked to their problem with noting more in effort than give instructional, emotional, or prayerful support.
Sounding a little vague but being exhausted with listening to persistence ignorance and answering it, vagueness is the only course left. It is all very simple. Unless one is willing and actually will accept the responsibility, in every area, of those that one wishes to rule over then that one should not and has not the right to rule. Most wish to rule in one way or the other but when the consequences of misleading actions present themselves those who are suffering from these mistakes are left to it. If one wishes to be in charge, then one must assume the yoke of those he or she rules over in times of good or times of bad. If one wishes to advise, then one must be one who’s advice when found not to be sound pays the price for that advise instead of those who that one has advised paying in his/her stead. If one wishes to advise it must be with an agenda less heart or at least one in which the agenda serves the individual and not the self or assumed authority.
Then again, this is all liken to the prophet who stated. “One who knows does not speak and one who speaks does not know”. Only problem there is that he had to speak to tell you such and, in his speaking, did he prove that he did not know. But unless he spoke then you would not know but with that, he has told you a thing you cannot repeat because if you do you are proven by his criteria that you, yourself do not know either. Yes, that is philosophical Hocus Pocus. But said with a reason. Anything I say in this blog can be discounted because, in argument, it can be made to self-destruct with nothing more than an opposing viewpoint. For me to disagree is only setting my own agenda which disagrees with another agenda. With the other agenda being correct in his bias then in his mind, my position self-destructs and vice versa. With that said, here in lies a truth. Any man with an agenda, where it be right or wrong, good or bad, that man has not ears and does not listen. This is true even if that man is professing to listen and to take into consideration what you or other have to say. The only reason most listen to anything is not to learn but to find a small point of weakness which to attack, belittle and or debunk; and in doing so find some small satisfaction in knowing that they have, that day, ruled over you.
So, when one tells you that to conform, to join, to submit, “to sign on the dotted line of membership”, where it be a fraternal organization, a CHURCH, or a particular political party with a leftist bent. Try to remember.
“Do not allow yourselves to be deceived: Great Minds are Skeptical…. There is nothing more necessary than truth, and in comparison, with it everything else has only secondary value. This absolute will to truth: what is it? Is it the will to not allow ourselves to be deceived? Is it the will not to deceive? … One does not want to be deceived, under the supposition that it is injurious, dangerous, or fatal to be deceived.”
Friedrich Nietzsche” (1844 – 1900)
Oh, just because this guy was an atheist existentialist does not mean he was always wrong. One would be surprised where one can find wisdom and truth. Just as one would be surprised that in many fraternal organizations, churches, and or a particular political party with a leftist bent, the truth is being suppressed. Funny thing. To say that one is considered a dissenter. Funny, St. Paul, Martin Luther and countless others had the same problem as did his mentor the son of a carpenter from Galilee. These were not joiners either and each considered a dissenter for no other reason than they separated themselves from the herd and proclaimed the truth.
John 8:30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Ever notice how everyone can quote verse 32 but do not know the criteria which set up that verse. That criteria being found in verse 31. “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;” Now you tell me why most do not know the supporting verse to verse 32. It is because neither in home nor in Church, have they been taught. Funniest thing is, you can find this written on anything from water towers to entrances of many campuses, verse 32 that is, but most do not know who said it and the majority have no idea of the words that proceeded it. Perhaps this is because these were left to themselves to discover a particular truth which could not be revealed without proper instruction. Then again perhaps these and those who should have been teaching them were unable to learn and unable to teach because the extraordinary cannot be expected of the less than extraordinary mind. But my opinion, of which I am entitled, is this. Both are just making excuses. And in defining terms: An excuse is often, nothing more than, a reason with a lie wrapped around it. Both are making excuses because they are just too lazy.
David
Watched a a fellow call another man a liar from the Pulpit. The fellow calling the man a liar was a preacher of sorts. Problem the incident was recorded of what the “of Sorts” preacher had said and it was proven he was the one lying. Then the “Sort Of” then got angry for the man recording it. Funny, he was lying and calling a church member a liar at the same time lambasting the member for recording the truth to stop the lying. Now ya wonder, why would the truth not be welcome in a recording unless a lie was being told from the Pulpit. Now the strange thing. not many in the congregation even suspected the lie. Of course, one way or the other they have been lied to for years. 2 Cor. 4:2…. Does not mean much for the leadership of that church. For them the ends justify the means as another liar lied to and deceived me personally. But ya know, when the time comes I will know as I am known. I can honestly say, my hands and heart are clean and at peace with the decision to separate me and mine from what may or may not be heresy. But 3 of the leaders have stepped down from the tyranny. And the long slow count if 12 members gone and counting. Now the greatest accomplishment such leadership has had is to hang it all on another. Funny, Video and Technology can out that kind of deceit. Now here is the worst part. Folks can not see we are most often the things we claim to hate.
More to come……….
No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. No one will recognize or respect authority which does not, first, respect and recognize liberty.
