According to John 19:23, Jesus’ tunic“was without seam, woven from the top throughout,”.Most looms of Jesus’ time produced cloth that was about 3 feet wide, so two panels had to be sewn together to make a tunic. But the looms in Galilee were wide enough to weave a tunic in one piece, making Jesus’ seamless tunic more valuable.
