Weekly Thoughts
Most of us, at one time or the other, in our lives, have wrestled with God. Wrestled with the truth. Fact is, every Christian has wrestled with God and wrestled with the truth and it was not until the admission of who and what you were that God saved you. Christ came to save the Lost and make dead men come to life. All lost are dead in their sins. All saved are reborn with a new name written down and a new life. If you are striving with God it is the admission which brings the blessing. All are a Jacob and a deceiver. If God is wrestling with you then he intends for you to be an Israel, (Israel meaning “one who has struggled with God”). Struggled is a past tense word. For the rebirth and the new name one must submit and admit. Remembering that the day does break and the Spirit of God will not always strive with man. You may wrestle with God until you are touched and made cripple and the crippling may be the reminder you need to keep you aware of what you were. For some of us it was, is and will remain so until the Lord Comes or takes us home.
With that said:
Is God asking you your name? WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Is your name Jacob or is your name Israel? Are you a dead deceiver and a reborn believer? Will you be a prince among men or a deceiver with out family or friend? Will you see God face to Face or deceive yourself to another place. Will your life be preserved or will you, without mercy and grace, get what you deserve?
WHAT IS YOUR NAME!
